Anyone who has been treated by Wayne Borowsky knows he a keeper.<\/p>\n

I’m blessed to have his center\u00a0a couple of blocks from me.<\/p>\n

Had I known him 10 years ago I wouldn’t have had to have a double carpal\u00a0tunnel op.<\/p>\n

He is the bomb.<\/p>\n

On my\u00a0last shoot of 2015, I tripped over a very thick glass coffee table at my client.<\/p>\n

I didn’t see it. \u00a0I whacked my lower left calf at full throttle.<\/p>\n

I fell on my left hip to save my camera. \u00a0Silly cause it is insured.<\/p>\n

Johannesburg was on holiday. \u00a0Yes, try finding one’s beloved doctor on 23 December.<\/p>\n

I battled to use the clutch driving home.<\/p>\n

What I know about first aid is scary.<\/p>\n

I was so eina. \u00a0The leg went up. Compression bandage and ice packs, the mutie.<\/p>\n

2016 started on a low note for me. \u00a0I left my\u00a0pain unattended.<\/p>\n

I hobbled and limped along for months.<\/p>\n

Stupid me.<\/p>\n

“Hello Betty, I urgently need an appointment.” “Anything for you BBC.” \u00a0Their code name for me.<\/p>\n

Enter Katia Pinheiro. \u00a0Deep-sport massage therapist. \u00a0I promised her I’d be brave.<\/p>\n

I suck up the pain, as she kneaded the knot out of my calf.<\/p>\n

Then it was my hip’s turn. \u00a0Elbow into my\u00a0glute for 3 minutes. \u00a0What a lovely painful experience!<\/p>\n

But Wayne still needed to do further work on my impinged hip.<\/p>\n

More glut treatment. \u00a0Realignment of my hips. \u00a0Rounding it off with my favourite\u00a0– the “neck-click”.<\/p>\n

I thought I was good to go.<\/p>\n

But, my right hip had been carrying the load for too long. \u00a0One little muscle on the left side had taken a holiday.<\/p>\n

Enter Claudia do Santos, the\u00a0bio kineticist.<\/p>\n

After a series of exercises to wake it up and strengthen\u00a0it, I’m chuffed to say I’m almost fixed.<\/p>\n

Marco is my go to man when Wayne is away.<\/p>\n

Peta is the clinical psychologist that I’ve been spared\u00a0having to see.<\/p>\n

And dear Shane is my go to man to suffer the Discovery Vitality Fitness test. \u00a0A complete joke but we need those points.<\/p>\n

Roll on December 2016.<\/p>\n
